The Journey To Weddings
As a musician, Erica used to travel the world. She performed in 16 US states and 8 countries, developing a love for a wide variety of cultures, backgrounds, and musical genres. Creating and restyling music to suit a meaningful celebration or event became an exciting challenge and hobby.
Then, about 10 years ago, Erica entered that stage of life where it seemed like all her friends were planning weddings at once. She was honored and flattered when many of her friends asked her to play for their ceremonies or receptions. At these events, guests would approach her to ask for her business card. They loved her music and wanted to suggest her to others or hire her themselves.
Erica was soon convinced that having a live, creative wedding singer like her was something people valued and enjoyed. Growing up in Hawaii helped her to understand the beauty of how music can integrate with celebration and connection to spark a meaningful experience. And so, she decided to invest fully into becoming a professional wedding singer and musician; Aloha Erica began.

Having mastered the craft of providing exceptional wedding music from over 10,000 hours of rehearsals and performances, Erica brings with her the skills and experience needed to offer her clients world-class professionalism. She aspires for each wedding day she participates in to be serene, elegant, and enchanting, as well as a unique, never-heard-before experience!
As a skilled and adaptable musician, and as a creative problem solver, Aloha Erica loves to watch the whole wedding day come together. She finds great joy in working with brides and grooms to select music that will create a truly unique experience where they can be fully present on their wedding day. It’s an honor for her to be part of the behind-the-scenes magic that takes the mistakes and unexpected moments of a wedding and turns them into a beautiful and memorable experience.

My signed guitar became the forever keepsake to a couple who truly treasured their wedding music.
A Particularly Memorable Experience
At a recent wedding, as the reception was ending, the lovely bride came to thank me for playing. I was honored, of course. I asked her how the day had been, and if she’d enjoyed the song she walked down the aisle to. “Actually,” she said, “There was so much going on, I hardly even got to hear the song!”
Having worked with them to create a unique version of “Can’t Help Falling In Love,” I wanted her to be able to remember hearing it and dancing in that moment, so… “Can I play it for you again, now?” I asked, holding up my guitar.
“Oh, that would be amazing!” she said with a wide smile. The couple danced with joyful tears in their eyes, slowly taking in every note and feeling as they shared an intimate moment for just the two of them to conclude their wedding day. It was an incredible experience, and I loved orchestrating that special memory for them on their wedding day.
A week later, the groom messaged me to ask something outside the box.
“I want to give my wife something to remember that moment,” he said. “And I’m wondering if you would be willing to sell me your guitar so I can have all of our guests sign it as a memento? I’d like to give it to her as a gift for us to keep forever.”
Well, I’ve heard some unique requests, but I’ve never had a couple want to buy my guitar! After some more back and forth, it was clear that the groom was serious about his request. We came to an agreement and I’m delighted to say that my guitar is in their home, commemorating that truly unique and enchanting moment from their wedding day. That kind of memory is exactly what I want for every couple.

Erica is an extrovert who thrives around ideas, creativity, and, especially, people. She spends her time running with her dog, Kalua, creating marketing campaigns for a start-up, and renovating her new home with her husband, Devon. Although she no longer travels full-time for work, she still loves to visit new places and old friends, and she jumps at every opportunity that arises to perform for destination weddings. But she also enjoys coming home to Orlando after a long trip.
